Training With A Purpose

What is our why?

Back in 2018, we started training apprentices in the skilled trades from all backgrounds. We worked with justice involved citizens, returning veterans, displaced workers and high school graduates.

Through working with our apprentices & employers, we witnessed first hand the lack of employees in the skilled trade professional careers. In an effort to support employers and meet their demand, we became the first entity in the United States to manage, operate & facilitate apprenticeships for employers. Many employers love the apprenticeship training model, but don't have the staff knowledgeable in teaching to train and facilitate the apprenticeship.

It was apparent that employers needed partners in building the next generation of skilled trade professionals.  As eligible training providers, we train & certify apprentices in the DOL Registered Apprenticeships. 

After working with hundreds of employers, it became very apparent that standard apprenticeships are similar to traditional colleges. They have a full curriculum and practical skills that must be met for apprentices to obtain a certification.  The problem with this is most employers don't need up to 50% or more of the mandated curriculum in Registered Apprenticeships.  They were spending thousands on schools, instructors, trainers and in fees for something they would never use.

 The need for customizing training for employers is absolute.  Here at Skilled Trades Training Solutions, our team of educators and career coaches work with business owners to understand their individual training needs and company standards.  From there, we create customized training solutions that effectively & efficiently train their team.

We have training platforms & modules for every position within a business as well as for safety, troubleshooting, specific equipment, materials, processes and procedures.  Additionally, we have a full range of professional courses for support teams and business owners. The outcome was a win / win solution for both apprentices & employers.
